Spring Hill Self-Defense is based on the Korean Martial Art of HapKiDo. HapKiDo translates to “the way of coordinated power” or “the way of strength and harmony”. HapKiDo is a soft style martial art which relies on knowledge, and movement rather than strength to complete techniques. HapKiDo is one of the most effective and practical martial arts that concentrates in self-defense techniques. It is hard to find a "DOJANG" (Korean word for "a place of training") that teaches true and pure HapKiDo.

Our technique's can be used by anyone, young, old, large, or small. It's been said "a 220 lb. attacker is at the mercy of a 110 lb. trained practitioner." In our class you will work on physical fitness, self-defense, flexibility, weight control, increased awareness, and focus. Resulting in increased confidence, self esteem, and looking and feeling younger. We are open to all from the beginner* to the advanced. That having been said we actually teach how not to fight, our philosophy is "The first person to throw a punch is the first person to run out of ideas."
